The Coastal Discovery Center is offering a limited time experience to study the San Simeon Beach Tide Pools and the Whales of the Central Coast.

Join a team of marine biologists as you find saltwater mussels hiding among the rocks, discover vibrant starfish making their way along stretches of sandbars, or simply watch the sea anemone ebb and flow with the tide.

In addition, learn about the mystery of San Simeon Cove by beach combing with marine biologists. Find out what causes high and low tides and explore the plant and animal communities that live between high and low tides.

Participants will meet at the Coastal Discovery Center in San Simeon (across from the entrance to Hearst Castle Visitors Center, by the pier). Donations always welcomed.
