Art Sherwyn Workshop

This is a three-day workshop taking place on July 8-9 and August 12 9:00am-3:30pm

What could be more engaging, entertaining, and amusing than seeing a group of other-worldly characters mingling with Cambrians and tourists on the streets of our village? You are invited to take part in this most engaging and non-intimidating artistic journey, creating one of these other-worldly characters which will eventually become a compelling display for the Cambria Scarecrow Festival. You will learn sculptural modeling techniques using the additive and subtractive methods used by many well-known sculptors, including Rodin (The Thinker) and Carl Sandburg (Abraham Lincoln). This will be an opportunity to let your creativity run wild! Participants will be working with recycled plastic, plaster cloth, instant paper mache, pvc, pool noodles, etc. All materials will be provided.
